Who is Alex Taylor?
Alex Taylor has been at the forefront of Australia’s dance music industry for well over a decade. Armed with a passion for house music that is soulful, deep and funky, he has forged a name for himself that sees him playing regularly across the country and around the world.
With residencies at some of the countries biggest clubs such as Arq, The Ivy, Trademark, Tank, Home and Hugos Lounge, Alex’s CV reads like a Who’s Who of Australian dance party history. He’s played events such as Fuzzy Parklife, Red Raw, Mardi Gras, Sleaze Ball, Mobile Home & Sydney’s Harbour Party, as well as parties at Uluru, at beach bars in Bali – even private parties for Madonna and U2!
Internationally, Alex has guested at clubs in Singapore, London, Cologne, L.A. San Francisco, Shanghai, Seoul, Macau, Bali, and Bangkok, and annually spends the summer season in Ibiza, where he has just returned from playing a 6 week residency for ‘We Love Space Sundays’.
He’s played with the world’s best, names like Miguel Migs, Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, Satoshie Tomiie, The Freemasons, Sasha, John Digweed, Sandy Rivera, Paul Oakenfold, Frankie Knuckles, Tom Novy, Laurent Garnier, Kaskade, Masters At Work, Chris Lake, Groove Armada, and Miss Kitten.
He has a number of commercially released mix CDs to his name, for labels such as Ministry Of Sound, Sony, Vinyl Pusher. On top of this, Alex spends time in the studio producing original material as ‘Taylor Square’ - remixing and producing tracks for artists such as Inaya Day, Jocelyn Brown, Zoe Badwi, Hi Fi Mike, Crazy P, Cosima De Vito and Blank & Jones.
Alex also lends his talents to charity events such as Table For Ten, ensuring he gets to give something in return for the absolute pleasure he receives from entertaining with his music.
